Hi, My Grandfather was a hobby artist from Geneva IL which is near Chicago. He would set up a booth at craft shows around the Saint Charles area. He painted and did chalk drawings in his earlier years and carved wood santas, ducks and other items in his retirement. He signed his paintings and carvings with Merle Freier, M Freier, Elrem, and MF on his smaller carvings.
