Description

The CRUCIFIXION Jesus Art B&W Museum WOOD CARVING Spooner Wisconsin Postcard The postcard image shows life sized statues carved out of wood. This scene is of the Crucifixion. Jesus of course in the center cross, the other two on either side. Mother Mary is kneeling by his feet. Guards are drawing "lots", kneeling on the ground perhaps rolling die. Other figures stand by, some with spears. To the far left is the Devil or a demon with horns, a tail and a pitch fork. In front of him appears to be a small child. ON THE BACK: " Museum of Wood Carving."
