Description

Vintage 1970s Rodney Winfield etched black slate, features an astrological zodiac sign of Sagittarius, carved out from a single piece of rock, comes with original box with black and white image reminiscent of Raija Uosikkinen works and iili logo on two sides. Several available, please note that each piece and box may slightly differ from the pictured one. Other zodiac signs from the same set are also available in my shop. Made by illi Corp. that Winfield had started with an associate while he was teaching at Maryville College in St. Louis, Missouri. illi Corp. consisted of a group of graphic artists and some of Winfield's art students from the college. The boxes are printed with illi Corp. on them. Sheaffer Pen Co. of St. Louis, MO, eventually bought illi Corp. from Winfield in the early 1970s. In very good vintage condition, vintage-new stock, minimal imperfections to the box. Please view all photos and message me with any questions. Measures approx. 4"H x 3"W x 0.75"D
