Description

This is a small, 1 lb., granodiorite, hand tool with several finely sculpted cryptic images. Various finger placements suggest a more precise type of pecking/smoothing/scraping implement. This is a very nice example of delicately crafted portable rock art tool making. The ancients were skillful indeed. Found "as is" near the Columbia River in East Multnomah County, Oregon.
